Born Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, he is considered by many to be one of the greatest footballers in history. He is three time winner of the FIFA World Player of the Year award and clinched the Ballon d’Or two times.
He is the second highest goal scorer for Brazil having netted the ball 62 times in 98 appearances. He helped his team reach the finals of 1998 World Cup in France and scored two goals in the final against Germany in 2002 World Cup to win the championship. He surpassed Gerd Muller’s record of 14 goals in a World Cup after he scored his 15th in the 2006 World Cup.
Roberto Carlos:
Known for his powerful free kicks and long throw-ins, Roberto Carlos is one of the most celebrated footballers for Brazil.
He started his career as a striker but played mostly as a defender. He helped his side reach the final of 1998 FIFA World Cup and was a part of the winning team in 2002 World Cup at South Korea and Japan.
Ronaldinho:
Ronaldinho is one of the famous footballing players in the world.
He represented 2002 FIFA World Cup winning squad of Brazil. He was a part of the attacking trio composing of Ronaldo, Rivaldo and himself.
He was also included in the All Star Team of the FIFA World Cup.
He played 97 matches and scored 33 goals for his country.
