FAISALABAD: Twenty four people were injured when a bus plunged into a canal in Faisalabad’s Rajbah Road on Sunday morning, ARY News reported.
According to details, the shaft of the Hafizabad-bound bus broke after which the vehicle went out of the driver’s control and fell into the canal.
Twenty four passengers, including eight children, sustained injuries in the incident. The bus driver, on the other hand, managed to flee from the scene.
According to eye-witness accounts, the driver was driving his vehicle at a fast pace.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene and provided first-aid to 12 of the victims. The rest of the wounded persons were shifted to Civil Hospital Faisalabad for treatment.
Civil Hospital sources said that all the condition of all wounded persons is said to be out of danger.
