‘Its Pakistan’s internal issue’: Fawad responds to Sushma Swaraj’s remarks

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, on Sunday said that the issue relating to missing Hindu girls was the ‘Pakistan’s internal issue’ while responding a tweet published by Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj.

Fawad Chaudhry, in his latest Twitter message, warned Swaraj to refrain from making intervention into internal matters of Pakistan as the Indian minister had asked Indian high commissioner to ‘send a report’ over missing Hindu girls in Sindh province.

Chaudhry slammed her, saying that it was not [Indian Prime Minister] Narendra ‘Modi’s India where minorities are subjugated.

He clarified that minorities, here in Pakistan, equal rights like other nationals belong to different religions. He said, ” its Imran Khan’s Naya Pak where white color of our flag is equally dearer to us.”

Swaraj and the Indian government have been asked to better focus on countering miseries and trouble of minorities by providing their rights in India.

He said, ” I hope you ll act with same diligence when it comes to rights of Indian Minorities.”

The two sisters namely Reena, aged 14 and Raveena, aged 16 gone missing from village Hafiz Salman near Deharki few days back.

The heirs of the girls are continuing their protest at the Sindh-Punjab border demanding the early recovery of their missing girls.

The two Hindu girls, who went missing, had stated in a recorded video that neither anyone had abducted them nor held them hostage as they had left their home on their own will and have embraced Islam without any pressure.

Earlier in the day, the police after registering a case into missing of two Hindu sisters in Khanpur, claimed to have rounded up an accused in the case.

PM Imran Khan’s notice

Prime Minister Imran Khan has already directed Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar today to immediately look into reports that two Hindu girls abducted from Ghotki district have been moved to Rahim Yar Khan after their forced conversion and underage marriages.

The prime minister called for the early recovery of the abducted girls given that these reports are true, according to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.

PM Khan ordered the Sindh and Punjab governments to devise a joint strategy to take concrete steps so that such happenings could be prevented in future.
