Fayaz Chohan takes PML-N to task for ruckus in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayazul Hasaan Chohan on Tuesday derided the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members of provincial assembly for kicking up ruckus in the Punjab Assembly, ARY News reported.

“What they did today in the assembly, it has never been witnessed in the history. The PML-N MPAs adopted belligerent tone and tried to smash furniture of the hall,” he said while talking to media about the former ruling party of Punjab’s sulky behavior during presentation of the Punjab budget for the remaining eight months of fiscal year 2018-19.

The PML-N members erupted commotion while the provincial finance minister, during presentation of the budget, damned the former government for misappropriation in public exchequer which, he said, badly hurt the economic condition.

The information minister condemned attempt of attacking the speaker and secretary Punjab Assembly.

Schooling Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz, Fayaz Chohan said he should rectify his behaviour. “People who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others.”

He warned that one should avoid obscene remarks against women.

The Punjab minister said those who plundered public wealth should be held accountable. He said the government would hold accountable to those who looted Punjab and the country.
