The way for MQM’s return to assemblies is opened – legal experts identified flaws pertaining to resignations of MQM members from the National Assembly, Senate and Sindh Assembly.
They said the way MQM members tendered their resignations has led to several questions with regard to their acceptance.
“Every member of the assembly was supposed to appear in person before the speaker to tender his resignation, but the MQM members did not do so,” pointed the experts.
Maualana Fazlur Rahman, tasked to resolve the present political crisis, today completed consultation relating to the matter.
Sources told that a delegation of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will soon hold meetings with the government team and MQM members, while the JUI-F chief is also expected to fly to London.
