FBR extends date for filling income tax returns

The last date for filling of income tax returns has been extended to November 21.

The extension has been made in the view of issues in FBR’s newly issued e-portal as well as upcoming holidays of Moharram-ur-Haram. Taxpayers had complained that E-FBR Portal not working properly as it went down during the processing. They expressed fear that many taxpayers would fail to meet deadline.

In a notice issued, FBR stated that date of filling of Returns of Total Income/Statement of final Taxation due on August 31 (already extended to October 31) is further extended to November 21.
