Feud with singer Humera Arshad lands Ahmed Butt in jail

LAHORE: An ongoing feud which turned violent singer Humera Arshad and her former husband Ahmed Butt has landed the latter in jail, ARY News reported.

Ahmed Butt reportedly stormed her ex-spouse’s house along with some armed persons and subjected the family members to torture.

Talking to ARY News.  Humera said Ahmed Butt thrashed her brothers and family members and she had confined herself in a room now with her family members.

She told that she even agreed to relinquish her house in exchange of her son, but after she had signed the papers Ahmed refused to hand over her son whom she had already won in a court case.

Now, she said, neither she would give Ahmed Butt her child nor her house.

After registering the singer’s complaint, police have taken Ahmed Butt, his brother and three brothers of Humera into custody.

The singer, after their love marriage of 12 years ended up in divorce last year, had also claimed that her former husband was sending her death threats.

Their personal dispute made headlines last year when they revealed it to public through media talk.

Divorce in a family affects children the most, in Humera’s case future of their son, Ali Muttaqin, has been at stake. Humera had filed a divorce plea in court sometimes ago after she got fed-up of Butt’s regular demands for money. He wanted her money to be transferred on his name.
