ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday rejected the opposition parties report on billion tree Tsunami as contrary to facts.

“This so called report is a political conspiracy and yet another drama on the part of the opposition,” Firdous Ashiq Awan said this in a statement.

She said the entire world knew that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s worst political opponents were sent for inspection of the trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The special assistant said the opposition was left with no issues to do politics. She said instead of counting the trees, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should return the amount plundered from the national exchequer.

She said the PML-N leadership stood exposed before the masses that they had no heart pain but yearning for power.

On April 26, Provincial Minister for Information Shaukat Ali Yousafzai had said the opposition leaders showed media only those spots where tree plantation campaign had failed.
