ISLAMABAD: Japan’s ambassador to Pakistan Kuninori Matsude here on Wednesday called on Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, ARY News reported.
Talking to the Japanese ambassador, Dr Firdous said that Pakistan highly valued its bilateral ties with Japan and added, “We would like Tokyo to further collaborate and invest in the fields of media and information.”
She stressed the need for enhanced engagement with Japan in the fields of Information and Culture.
Japanese ambassador Matsude thanked the minister for appreciative remarks about Japan’s progress and development and emphasized the need to strengthen formal cooperation between state television networks of both the countries.
He also showed his keen interest of investing in up-gradation of technology at the state television and radio networks.

Earlier, Chief Executive of Japan’s largest trading company, Mitsubishi Corporation, Kimihide Ando had called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on March 12.
Kimihide Ando had said that the Japanese government had decided to support companies in increasing investment in Pakistan in order to enhance engagement with Islamabad.
The chief executive had praised business-friendly policies of the present government and Mitsubishi intended to strengthen its footprint in meeting the energy requirements of the country.
