OKARA: A fire erupted in furniture factory located at M.A Jinnah road here on Wednesday burning woods worth hundreds of thousands rupees into ashes, ARY News reported.
The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained. However, the blaze engulfed the entire factory in minutes.
A contingent of six fire tenders doused the blaze after hours of firefighting.
Woods worth hundreds of thousands burnt into ashes as result of the fierce blaze in the furniture factory.
However, no loss of life has been reported during the incident.
Four days ago, a fierce fire at a shopping mall in Anarkali area of Lahore burned 21 shops, burning commodities worth millions of rupees into ashes. The shop owners then alleged that the emergency agencies delayed response resulting in heavy losses.
The fire brigade, however, said that it took hours to control the fire as it was difficult to reach on the spot through narrow alleys of the congested area.
