A huge explosion at a fireworks making plant rocked Haveli Lakha area here. The fireworks plant was being illegally run in the densely populated locality.
Five people including two women were killed in the blast. Six people including three children sustained injuries in the incident.
The injured and dead bodies transferred to tehil headquarters hospital.
Heavy contingents of Police rushed to the scene of the blast and cordoned off the area.
The law enforcement agencies have inititated investigation into the incident.
Police sources say that the fireworks were being manufactured illegally in a house when the explosive material caught fire which was resulted in the blast.
Two women killed in the explosion have been identified as Rabia and Fozia.
Two rooms of the premises collapsed whereas cracks appeared on the walls of the houses adjoining to the illegal fireworks making workshop.
