Five ‘Taliban operatives’ shot dead in Rajanpur encounter

According to details, the terrorists opened fire when CTD personnel were carrying out an operation at Gaddanar Chowk. An exchange of fire took place between the law enforcement agencies and the miscreants after which five terrorists were reportedly killed whereas three of them managed to escape.

Police recovered three hand grenades, two pistols and a rifle from the terrorists.

The bodies of the slain terrorists were shifted to a medical facility for post mortem.

The authorities also stated that four of the slain terrorists were identified as Naimat Rehman, Zia-ur-Rehman, Shahdab and Irshad Khan. They were affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Punjab group.

The terrorists were wanted to the authorities for their involvement in several terrorism cases.
