Fog related accidents claim two lives in Lahore

LAHORE: Two persons were killed and two were injured in different road accidents due to heavy fog in the provincial metropolis, ARY News reports on Friday.

According to rescue officials, two cars crashed into each other due to heavy fog at Raiwind Road. One person was killed on the spot whereas two persons were injured. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

The second road mishap took place at Abdullah Gul Interchange near Ring Road. A driver of a cargo service mini trailer crashed his vehicle into a pole due to severe fog and was killed on the spot due to the impact of the collision.

Police stated that a trailer went off the road and crashed into parked cars due to the fog in the city at Amarsidhu Chowrangi. The cars were damaged but no casualties were reported. The truck driver fled from the scene after the collision.
