According to details, unknown persons opened fire at the vehicle of the Customs officials, as they were patrolling at Hangu Road, due to which four persons, including the inspector, were killed on the spot.
The slain officials were identified as Inspector Abdul Wahab, Shamim, Hidayatullah and Asif.
Police arrived at the scene and shifted the corpses to a hospital for formal procedures.
