Funeral prayers of two stampede victims offered

Tearful scenes were witnessed during the last rites of the victims. PTI senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and other political leaders and a large number of the people of Multan attended funeral prayers.

After the funeral the workers of PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were engaged in a stand off and chanted slogans against  Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi.

PTI in its drive against the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a mammoth rally at Qasim Bagh of Multan on Friday, in which a stampede killed  seven people and scores of others were injured.

PTI chief Imran Khan has announced three-day mourning over the tragic incident.
