Galle Test: Yasir takes nine as Pakistan win by 10 wickets

The first day of the test match was washed out.

The hosts opted to bat and scored 300 in their first innings with Kaushal Silva being the top scorer with 125 runs while Kumar Sangakkara scored 59 runs.

Junaid Khan and Zulfiqar Babar took three wickets in the first innings with Yasir Shah and Mohammad Hafeez took two wickets each.

Pakistan in their first innings posted 417 on the board with Asad Shafiq scoring 131 on the board and Sarfraz Ahmed contributing 96 runs for the team. Zulfiqar Babar also made 56 runs in the innings.

Nuwan Parera took four wickets while Dhammika Prasad and Nuwan Pradeep taking three and two wickets each.

However, Yasir Shah ripped through the Sri Lankan batsmen in as he took seven wickets in the second innings and the hosted were dismissed for 206 setting a target of 90 runs to win.

Dimuth Karunaratne made 79 runs in the second innings anjd Lahiru Thrimanne scoring 44 runs for the team.

Wahab Riaz took two wickets while Zulfiqar Babar dismissed one batsmen.

The Pakistani Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad guided their team to win in the first test match as they remained unbeaten at 46 and 43 runs respectively.
