Gang posing as polio workers attempt to enter house in Karachi

KARACHI: A gang of robbers posing as polio workers attempted to forcefully enter a house in Nusrat Bhutto Colony in North Nazimabad area of Karachi, ARY News reported.

Video footage shows that one veiled woman and two men attempt enter a house. However, they faced stiff resistance from the house residents who refused to open the main door.

The robbers forced their way but failed and eventually fled from the scene of the incident. There are reportedly two more accomplices who were present at the other end of the street  driving a white van.

According to a police complaint filed by the residents, the incident occurred last Thursday at 11.30 AM in Nusrat Bhutto Colony. The robbers pushed the door of the house but could not enter inside and fled, said the police complaint requesting to file an FIR over the incident.

The CCTV footage shows the suspects clearly but no action has been taken so far nor have the suspects being apprehended prompting panic due to the recent rise in street crimes and other criminal activities.

In a separate incident, residents foiled the attempted kidnapping of ten-year-old child in Liaquatabad. The child started screaming prompting local resident to apprehend and thrash the suspect before handing him over to police.
