According to details, the explosion took place when a gas cylinder was being refueled. 25-year-old Umair was killed on the spot whereas another person was injured.
Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene and shifted the wounded person to a medical facility where is condition is said to be critical.
Police have arrested the owner of the shop and investigation is underway.
