KARACHI: The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) considering over an alliance with like-minded parties such as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi, Pir Pagara in reply to a question while talking to media after a meeting of the alliance on Wednesday, said the GDA had finalised almost 80 percent of its candidates and did not rule out an alliance with like-minded parties such as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party failed to deliver during its 10-year rule in Sindh and inflicted the worst ever damage on the economy of the province. He said, the people were looking for an alternative leadership.

“The GDA will solve the problems of unemployment, scarcity of water and power in Sindh and will ensure social justice,” he said.

He demanded from the election commission and other concerned authorities to post impartial officers on administrative positions in Sindh within a week so that the upcoming elections could be held in a free and fair manner.

Pir Pagara warned of protests if the officials were not changed before the polls.

He suggested that the officers from Sindh be transferred to other provinces while those from other provinces be transferred to Sindh.

“Transferring an officer from one place in Sindh to another place in the province is not a solution,” he maintained.

Earlier a meeting of GDA held at the Kingri House here, presided over by Pir Pagara.
