Army chief to visit Waziristan today: ISPR

WAZIRISTAN: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif will visit South and North Waziristan today and spend an entire day in the mountainous region.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS is visiting the region on invitation of local tribes.

General Asim Bajwa, Director General of the ISPR, said significant development projects will be inaugurated during the army chief’s visit.
Gen Sharif attended the funeral prayers of the Pakistan Army soldiers on Monday (Nov 14) who had been martyred in unprovoked shelling and firing by Indian forces along the border.
In retaliation, Pakistan Army responded effectively, and targeted several Indian posts.
