German coaches arrive in Karachi to train footballers, explore talent

KARACHI: German Football coaches have arrived here on Friday morning to train young footballers and explore talent in Pakistan, ARY News reported.

Two coaches among four delegates are reportedly member of the coaching staff from second division Bundesliga, a football association league in Germany. Oliver Rathenow and Sebastain Lejeune along with a female coach Toma Geb Geddes and head of Eurasia Institute of Germany Andrew Geddes would stay in the city for 10 days to train the young footballers and explore talent here.

The footballers would get training under a programme organised by Karachi United Football Club in collaboration with Pakistan to Germany Study and Eurasia institute of Germany.

Earlier this year, Brazilian football coach had arrived in the city and noted that the youth of Pakistan had the same obsession as Brazilians have.

During his 12-day tour, he trained 200 players and 50 coaches along with physical education.
