German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler on the International Women’s Day saw women police officers parade in Islamabad.

Kobler is known for his vibrant social media presence and he makes no secret of anything beautiful he comes across in the country.

“Impressive to see woman police officers parade today in islamabad with @ShehryarAfridi1 & @sayedzbukhari on #InternationalWomensDay2019.

“Big step towards women empowerment in Pakistan. Every police station should have women police to take care of needs of women,” he wrote in a tweet.

In another tweet he shared a video of a lady police official breaking a brick with her kick.

“Wow! Look at this video! Strong lady police officers!! Impressive to see that powerful kick at #InternationalWomensDay parade in Islamabad,” he tweeted.

International Women’s Day is observed globally including Pakistan on March 8 to honour achievements of women in various fields of life and renewed commitment to empower them.

This year’s theme of the Day was “Think equal, build smart, and innovate for change”.

Various ceremonies were held countrywide to highlight the importance of the day and create awareness to overcome bias against women.
