A glance at amazing Survivor Series moments

TOP NEWS

Survivor Series is notable for its tradition tag team elimination matches. A five member team, led by a captain, battles the other team. A pinfall results in elimination of a team member and the match is won when all the members of the opposing team are eliminated.

The PPV has given us some amazing moments and superstar performances.

  1. The Montreal Screwjob:

The Montreal Screwjob is one of the most controversial incidents in WWE history which is still remembered by the fans today.

Bret “The Hitman” Hart, who was the WWE Champion at that time, had signed a contract with WWE’s rival WCW a week before Survivor Series 1997 and was ready to depart for the company later. He was reluctant to lose the title to Shawn Michaels in his hometown of Montreal.

Shawn Michaels had applied Bret Hart’s signature move Sharpshooter on the Hitman and company’s owner Vince McMahon rung the bell before the superstar could tap out.

The Hitman did not appear in any of WWE’s televised shows till 2010 in which Michaels and Hart buried the hatchet in an episode of Monday Night Raw.
