KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Tuesday has once again called for the resignation of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

“Go Nisar Go,” he tweeted. “Democracy is the best revenge,” he said.

Bilawal has called for Nisar’s resignation on multiple occasions recently saying that he has misused his powers and had failed to implement the National Action Plan (NAP).

He also said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has to accept the four main demands of the PPP. Bilawal had on 16th October during a rally in Karachi has put forward four demands. This included accepting the Panama Papers inquiry bill, appointment of a foreign minister, reinstating the standing committee on terrorism, and incorporating their recommendations on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

He called for the Prime Minister to accept them by 27th December or else he would call for a long march. However, he had pulled the deadline earlier and demanded a reply by 8th November.

Bilawal also said that it was time for democratic accountability and a new PPP. However, he warned that they will only accept a commission on the Panama Paper inquiry if the Terms of Reference (ToR) are passed by the parliament.

He congratulated all the democratic political workers of Pakistan, saying that a victory for democracy is a victory for the PPP.

Nisar, during a press conference on Tuesday, had also criticised the PPP saying there were always displeased with him but their own actions were in front of us. He asked where was the defamation notice when the PPP had promised to send him.
