TOP NEWS

ABBOTABAD: The Coordinator of Taliban negotiation committee Maulana Yousuf Shah said that government had ended contact with us regarding negotiations, 45 days before the start of North Waziristan operation, ARY News reported.

Talking to media in Abbotabad on Monday, Maulana Yousuf Shah said we didn’t anticipate that government was heading towards the option of operation. He said Taliban made us their representatives but now we don’t have any contact with them.

“We still in favor to solve issues with negotiations rather than operation”, he added.

Maulana Yousuf Shah said operation is adding severe problems and there isn’t any one to analyze the situation of North Waziristan except ISPR. He said around seven lakh people have displaced due to the operation but there isn’t any effective arrangement for them.

“The issue of IDPs is very critical and unfortunately federal and provincial government has failed to solve it”, he said.

Maulana Yousuf Shah emphasized that political leadership should sit together to deal the current situation.

Speaking about PAT Chief Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, he said Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri is being dictated by some others having no value of his own.
