Government wants to work on TAPI, IPI gas pipelines: Sartaj Aziz

Speaking to media after attending fourth meeting of Pakistan-Turkmenistan joint commission, Sartaj Aziz said that work on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project will be resumed as soon as the US sanctions removed.

The Advisor said that a consortium is being built for the arrangement of funds for TAPI gas pipeline project and the working on the project will start as soon as funds collection completed.

“It is expected that TAPI gas pipeline project will be completed in about 3 years”, he added.

Sartaj Aziz further informed that World Bank is making a feasibility report for the electricity import from India and once it’s get completed work will start on the project of electricity import from India.
