Government's tax amnesty scheme has failed: PTI chairman Imran Khan

Chairman of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) political party Imran Khan tweeted from his official Twitter account. According to the tweets, Imran said the tax amnesty scheme had failed because it was aimed at penalising honest tax payers and rewarding tax evaders.
He was also of the view that Pakistani people were the most generous donors in the world but wished to see their leaders pay their taxes. He also said if people knew their leaders were paying taxes honestly, then the masses would pay taxes themselves.
