ISLAMABAD: The government has formed a special committee to contact political and religious parties on current political and overall situation of the country, ARY News reported Sunday.
The committee members comprise federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Khwaja Saad Rafique and adviser to prime minister Irfan Siddiqui.
The committee made its first formal contact with the Awami National Party (ANP). ANP leader and Senator Zahid Khan told ARY News
that Khwaja Saad Rafique had contacted Asfyander Yar Wali on telephone and sought time for a meeting.
He said the committed wanted to consult on overall affairs of the country. The ANP leader said that time and venue for meeting could not be decided as yet.
It is learnt that committee will reach out to different political parties in days to come.
