Govt keeps petroleum prices unchanged

The announcement was made by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in a news conference in Islamabad.

The government decided to change the prices of petrol and diesel whereas the rates of high octane fuel has been increased. The price of kerosene has been dropped by Rs. 0.36.

He also said that five to ten percent duty has been imposed on 61 luxury goods. He added the government has also increased the regulatory duty on 289 imported items.

“Tax on the import of old and used vehicle over 1000 CC”, Dar said.

He added that the duties have been increase to meet the country’s revenue shortfall.
