LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday said the government will review the bill passed by Punjab Assembly, increasing the salary, allowances, perks and privileges of its members.
Speaking to journalists here in Lahore, Buzdar said, salaries cannot be increased by keeping in view, the current economic situation of the country.
The CM Punjab said salaries would be increased after betterment in the economic conditions of the country.
On Monday, CM Punjab Usman Buzdar had called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office in Islamabad.
Sources said that matters of mutual interest, raise in salaries and perks of MPAs, development projects and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting.

They said that CM Usman Buzdar briefed the prime minister on current political and security situation of the province.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan on March 14, had expressed deep disappointment over the decision of Punjab Assembly which had passed a bill increasing salaries and privileges to the provincial lawmakers including chief minister.
In his latest Twitter message, PM Khan had said, he was ‘extremely disappointed by the decision of Punjab Assembly’ regarding raise in salaries and privileges of the Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs), other minister and especially the chief minister.
