According to officials, the ministry of petroleum and natural resources is encouraging investment in the oil and gas exploration.
They said that exploration activities have picked up momentum in recent times and some important discoveries are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in near future.
They said that a total of 82 discoveries of oil and gas have been made over the last three years. The production from 45 out of the total discoveries have already been started, whereas, necessary work over 37 discoveries is being carried out by exploration and production companies to bring them on production.
