KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Board of Directors (BoDs) has finalised four names for the slot of chief executive officer (CEO), ARY News reported on Wednesday.

The PIA BODs mulled over different names for the key post.

Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Amir Hayat, who is currently serving as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has emerged as a top contender for the post of CEO, say sources.

The position of the CEO has been lying vacant after Air Marshal Arshad Malik completed his three-year tenure on April 25.  Arshad Malik was appointed in October 2018.

Air Vice Marshal Aamir Hayat is currently working as the acting PIA CEO.
