Imam-e-Kaaba stresses on Muslim unity ‘to cope with this testing time’


In his sermon, he said that the Muslim nation is facing numerous difficulties and they must its solution in the practices and teaching of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).

He said Islam is a religion of peace that taught tolerance and peace. “Islam abhorred all types of violence in society. We must shun the differences on the bases of sects, and the Almighty has called us to follow the righteous path”, he said

“Every human should worship one Allah, while no black or white had any superiority over the other,” he said. He called on the youth to follow the true of Islam, as just turning towards the Kaabah for prayers was the biggest strike among the Muslim youth.

He called on the Muslim world to help the people of Palestine, and the refugees from Syria who have been forced to seek refuge in Europe. He said that Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was our role model and had come as a blessing for entire mankind.

He called upon Ulema to play their role in keeping people away from terrorism, and to hold the perpetrators of violence accountable for their actions. He prayed that the problem of the Muslim Ummah would be over soon, and they will be united for their welfare.

After the sermons the pilgrims will offer Zuhar and Asr prayers together in the plains of Arafat. They will move to Muzdalifa from Arafat where they will offer Maghrib and Isha prayers and will spent the night under open sky.

The sermon was supposed to be delivered by Saleh bin Humaid who has been  President of the Majlis al Shura in Saudi Arabia, after the Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh could be be available due to ill-health. This is the first time in 35 years that he did not deliver the sermon.

Millions of pilgrims from across the world, including 143,000 from Pakistan are performing main ritual Waqoof-e-Arafat at Mount Arafat. The speech from marks the peak of the Muslim pilgrimage which this year falls on Sunday.
