LAHORE: After losing the battle of chief minster-ship of Punjab, on Sunday, PML-N candidate Hamza Shehbaz lambasted on the alleged rigging in election results.

“Today, I say this, with immense grief, that this mandate is contaminated with rigging,” it is not people’s real mandate, he lamented. During his address in the Punjab Assembly, Hamza insisted for constituting a parliamentary commission to probe into alleged rigging in general elections.

Hamza Shehbaz argued that such delay in the announcement of election results has never occurred before in the history of Pakistan.  “It was not the RTS system which collapsed, in fact, the democracy of Pakistan was sabotaged under the pretext of system’s failure,” he snapped.

“The clatter of rigging everywhere has completely overshadowed the celebrations of PTI’s electoral win,” he added.

About Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo’s conviction, he said that the prosecution has been unsuccessful to prove Nawaz Sharif guilty in graft cases.

PML-N leader boasted that his party worked tirelessly to restore peace in Karachi and also to bring prosperity in Balochistan.

Son of former chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif stressed that PML-N will enthusiastically play its opposition role in the politics of Pakistan.

He complained that PML-N government granted a chance to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to form its government in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, but PTI-led government didn’t let us do the same in Punjab.
