On 26th June 1997, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was published in the United Kingdom. The first in the seven book series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone sold like hot cakes and became the best selling novel of that year.

The book chronicles the story of Harry Potter, ‘the boy who lived’. A young orphan living with his uncle and aunty (and their wretched child), Harry’s world is turned upside down when he receives a calling to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The book explored Harry Potter’s adventures in the magical world of wizards, witches and countless other pursuits, such as Quidditch, magic spells and different edible items.
