ISLAMABAD: Pakistani High Commissioner (HC) in New Zealand Abdul Malik visited hospital to inquire about health of the Christchurch victims, said Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Faisal on Wednesday.
The injured citizens were hailing from Malaysia, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and India.
In his statement issued from Islamabad, Dr Faisal said Pakistani high commissioner during his visit to hospital, prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
Australian right-wing extremist Brenton Tarrant opened fire at dozens of Muslims at two Christchurch mosques during the Friday prayers on March 15. Those martyred at Al Noor and Linwood mosques belonged to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Yesterday, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern addressing the session of the Parliament, had vowed never to utter the name of the twin-mosque gunman. “He will face the full force of the law in New Zealand.”
“He is a terrorist. He is a criminal. He is an extremist. But he will, when I speak, be nameless.”
“I implore you: Speak the names of those who were lost rather than the name of the man who took them.”
Dressed in black, the 38-year-old leader opened her remarks in parliament with the symbolism of the greeting uttered across the Islamic world.
