Houseowner throws tea at minor maid in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: In another case of domestic violence, a house owner allegedly threw hot tea on a minor maid in Gujranwala district of Punjab province, ARY News reported.

The twelve-year-old girl Rukhsana was employed at the house of Asif in Garden Town in Gujranwala. She reportedly suffered torture after delay in bringing tea to his owner.

The young girl was taken to Civil Hospital Gujranwala. She has suffered from severe burns to her face and was provided medical aid.

Police have recorded the statement of the young girl. They raided and took Imran, the brother of the accused in custody, while Asif managed to escape from his home to evade arrest.

Recently, another minor maid Tayyaba who was working in Islamabad at the house of a judge was allegedly brutally tortured by his wife. The Supreme Court had taken suo moto notice of the incident and is hearing proceedings in the case.
