Couple arrested over 'links' with al-Qaeda

According to details, security officials conducted the raid on an intelligence tip-off in Faisalabad and arrested a woman, Maria and her husband, Rizwan.

The arrested couple was said to have links with global terror organization, al-Qaeda and was accused of a grenade attack on an Imambargah in Gujranwala.

Sources told that the brothers of the arrested woman were also associated with the al-Qaeda.

It was further reported that Maria used to provide explosives and arms to her fellow terrorists for waging attacks.

The arrested couple is being interrogated and expected to make some serious revelations.
