Intelligence personnel nab ‘Indian spy’ working in CIA Punjab Police

The suspect turned out to be an employee of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Punjab Police, who was working with a fake name Pervez while his actual name is Ilyas.

Officials recovered maps, images and footage of sensitive installations from the suspect.

He used to transfer images and footage of border posts and BRB bridges via memory cards to Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), according to officials.

Intelligence personnel said the suspect has illegally crossed the border and visited India for more than 20 times, while he received instructions from a RAW official codenamed as Bajwa.

Pervez further revealed that 4-5 more spy networks are operating in Punjab, while every group comprises of 3-4 agents.

He added that the RAW officials hold a considerable number of Pakistani mobile sims, through which they instruct their agents in Pakistan.
