IHC rejects Geo and Jang Group pleas against 'Mubashir Luqman'

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the newly filed pleas of Geo and Jang Group against ARY News and its anchor Mubashir Luqman, ARY News reported.

In the newly filed petitions the applicant has requested to launch contempt of court proceeding against ARY News and Mubashir Luqman.

On the behalf of ARY News, barrister Gohar appeared in front of Chief Justice IHC, Anwar Kasi while Faisal Iqbal and other lawyers represented the Geo and Jang Group.

The filed petitions had the stance that Anchor of Khara Sach continuously degrading Geo and Jang Group, however the court has restricted him to do so.

The apex court after hearing the stance of parties rejected the newly filed pleas of Jang and Geo Group.
