IHC sends court contempt notice to Pervez Rathore

Justice Noor-ul-Haq heard the PEMRA Chairman case in Islamabad on Wednesday. Malik Tariq Mehmood, lawyer representing Fareeha Iftikhar and Israr Abbasi, in his arguments, said that Rathore violated the court orders.

He added that Pervez Rathore is working as PEMRA Chief despite the court orders against him.

Justice Noor-ul-Haq Qureshi, after listening to the arguments, remarked that court orders are being consistently violated. The judge has ordered Rathore to submit his reply within seven days.

The court has also ordered Rathore to appear in person if he fails to furnish his reply within seven days.
