PESHAWAR: The government has imposed ban  over illegal relief camps for the displaced persons of North Waziristan tribal region, ARY News reported on Thursday.

According to official sources, relief camps for the IDPs of NWA could not be set up without issuance of permission from the government authorities.

A no objection certificate (NOC) will be necessary for establishment of a relief camp for the displaced persons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, sources said.

The decision has been taken due to security concerns and to prohibit banned groups from collecting funds, government sources said.

The government has decided to take action against the relief camps established without government permission.

The authorities of Bannu division and other parts of the province have been informed about the decision, sources added.
