Imran asks Nawaz to take stand against drones

PESHAWAR: PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday addressing PTI sit-in in Peshawar asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take stand against drone strikes.

Imran Khan said that PTI has been in government in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and it will stop Nato supplies to Afghanistan. He said the PTI government will not become a Shaheed but it will become Ghazi.

First time in the history of Pakistan a government and other political parties had agreed for dialogue but the drone attack that killed Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud damaged the process of talks with militants.

Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf on Saturday started its sit-in at Peshawar’s Ring Road against drone attacks and supplies to NATO forces in Afghanistan, ARY News reported.

Earlier, thousands of PTI workers received PTI chairman Imran Khan with applaud and chanting slogans, when he reached at the venue of the protest.

Imran Khan before proceeding to Peshawar, talking to media in Islamabad said that the sit-in against drone attacks will be completed for unspecified period.

PTI workers reached Peshawar to attend the PTI protest against drone strikes and NATO supplies.

Addressing the participants of protest Awami Muslim League leader Shaikh Rashid claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants to prolong his rule.

PTI central leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jamaat Islami leader Liaquat Baloch also addressed the participants of sit-in.
