LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that he hopes that the new army chief will be appointed on merit, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Speaking to media at London’s Heathrow Airport, Khan said that the services of the outgoing Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will always be remembered.
“General Raheel Sharif spent a good tenure,” PTI chairman said.
Speaking on the Panamagate Case, Khan said that the nation has pinned their hopes on the Supreme Court.
The Tehreek-e-Insaf chief said, “Panamagate is high profile case for Pakistan.”
PTI chairman said that the party hasn’t made its decision on who will replace Hamid Khan as the lawyer of the PTI in Panama Leaks case.
