LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday assured minorities of Pakistan that he believed in egalitarianism, ARY News reported.

“I want to speak to our minorities; there is a propaganda being run that Imran Khan will not be fair to minorities. Imran Khan believes in equality for all Pakistanis,” he said while addressing a public gathering at Data Darbar in Lahore. PTI candidate from NA-125, “Iron lady” Dr Yasmin Rashid was also present  among others on this occasion.

Soliciting people for voting the PTI, he said it was time to take matters into your hands. Go out on July 25, 2018, and cast votes to change your fate; he said adding that the PTI would crush the idol of oppression by winning the general elections.

On Indian media’s reports of likely rigging, the PTI chief said India was more concerned about convict former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and not for Pakistan. He said Indian media was against him for they knew that he could not become a puppet for anybody.

Talking on rampant corruption and lack of facilities for citizens, he said, “On one hand a corrupt politician loots money and earns kickbacks on mega projects. On the flip side, people don’t get clean water, four patients share beds in hospitals and no standard education can be found in public schools.

“Whoever believes in Allah, he doesn’t believe in worldly gods like money.”

Imran Khan also dismissed allegations of establishment’s facilitating him. He said, “There is an establishment hand at play for sure; but it is the international media establishment, including India trying to peddle the narrative that the army is ‘manufacturing’. However, what is quite visible from our nationwide jalsas (rallies) is that a true people’s revolution is taking place.”
