The man who has long been known in Pakistan for a great number of admirers on social media and whose followers are responsible for creating most of the top trends on Twitter (Pakistan) which also make place in world top trends on the microblogging site.
Imran Khan has reached 8.18 million followers on the social media site.
US President Donald Trump with 53.4 million followers is the top most followed leader, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi (43.3 million) is second in the lead, Pope Francis (17.7 million) is third and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is fourth biggest leader with 13.1 million followers in the Twitter world.
The cricketer-turned-politician, Khan is known worldwide as a great sportsman having tremendous leadership qualities.
He has announced to take oath in a simple ceremony in the presidential house on August 11.
