ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has released a video message for the ‘Huqooq-e-Karachi’ march to be held in Karachi on Sunday (tomorrow).

The PTI chief invited the residents of Karachi for the walk near the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam on April 30, and to stand up for their rights and address the myriad of problems facing the city.

“The aim (of the walk) is to highlight the problems facing Karachi, and to build pressure on the government,” he said.

He lamented the lack of civic amenities in the city including power load shedding despite the extreme heat, water shortage, and the garbage and waste disposal problems.

“Karachi was a much better place when I used to visit it 30-35 years ago,” he said.

Imran Khan said that problems cannot be solved as long as the people and civil society do not stand up and protest for their rights.

‘Liar cannot be our PM’

Imran Khan has also thanked the people of Islamabad for the rally held in Islamabad on Friday which was organised to build pressure on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to tender his resignation.

“Want to thank the record crowd that participated in launch of PTI’s Go Nawaz Go campaign,” he said in a statement on micro-blogging website Twitter.

He said that all five judges of the Supreme Court had rejected Qatari letter in their verdict on the Panama Papers case.

This means that Prime Minsiter Nawaz Sharif lied before the court.

“A liar cannot be our PM,” he maintained.
