Int’l investors taking keen interest to invest in Pakistan: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said renowned international investors are taking keen interest to invest in Pakistan due to investors-friendly policies and ease of doing business facilities provided by the country.

Radio Pakistan reported that the premier was talking to 8-member delegation of 25 countries who took part in Islamabad Summit. PM Khan asserted that his government believes in providing profitable trade environment and opportunities to investors and business community.

“Our policies will increase trade activities which will be helpful for job creation in Pakistan,” Prime Minister Khan said.

The prime minister also met Secretary General of Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour and assured that Pakistan would extend complete cooperation to the ECO.

According to official statement, the secretary general briefed PM Imran about background and activities of the ECO and underscored its importance as a regional economic organization aimed at enhanced regional social contacts, trade liberalization and greater connectivity.

He also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for providing opportunity to apprise him of his ideals of an active and vibrant ECO.
