LAHORE: Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that his political party will take to the streets with full force if elections are not held in the country, ARY News reported on Sunday.

He made the announcement while meeting PTI ticket holders from Lahore today. Sources told ARY News that Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the successful rally organised by PTI to express solidarity with the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) yesterday.

The PTI chief also gave tasks to the ticket holders for expediting the preparations for a massive public movement. Khan said that a large number of participants attended the PTI rally on short notice.

He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is not serious to implement the Supreme Court’s (SC) orders regarding the elections. “PTI will take to the streets with full force if elections are not held in the country.”

“The nation will not forgive the thieves violating the Constitution and the law. The ticket holders must be activated in their constituencies and prepare the nation.”

Earlier, Imran Khan castigated the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government for ‘not implementing Supreme Court () verdict’.

The PTI chairman said that yesterday people came out in solidarity with the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Pakistan from 4200 different places. He said that the constitution of Pakistan defines the role of every institution.

The former prime minister maintained that the constitution of Pakistan abides by-elections in 90 days and the nation stands behind the Chief Justice of Pakistan. He said that all the 15 judges agree that elections should be held in 90 days.

The Bloomberg report stated two days ago that Pakistan’s economy is worst than Srilanka and the inflation rate is also higher than theirs.

The PTI premier Imran Khan blamed the former army chief General Retired Qamar Javed Bajwa for bringing the PDM parties into power and they turned the country’s economy worst than Srilanka.

He lambasted the PDM government saying they are now openly attacking the Supreme Court. The PTI chairman Imran Khan said that 70 percent of people have no representation in the provincial and National Assembly.
