ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan wished both teams in the final of the Pakistan Super League being held Lahore on Sunday.
The PTI chief in a statement of Twitter sent his best wishes and good luck to both teams, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators in the final.
Good luck & best wishes to both cricket teams in the PSL final. Really appreciate the public’s participation. May Allah keep everyone safe.

He said that he really appreciates the participation of the public at the Gaddafi Stadium. He prayed that event is held safely without any untoward incident.
Imran Khan had turned down an invitation by Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan, after criticising the hosting of the event in Lahore calling it madness and that it would be counter-productive to the image of the nation.
He had said that the event was a political show for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He had expressed apprehension that an untoward incident would deprive the nation of cricket for the next decade.
He also lashed at the unprecedented level of security placed during the event and said that cricket matches under such curfew-like circumstances in war-torn nations like Iraq and Syria.
However, after facing severe criticism, he seems to have softened his stance and said that he wished the event is held safely.
